The Niagara Community Observatory, a public policy think tank, identifies emerging issues and develops solutions. In collaboration with YWCA, NCO researched the experiences of homeless women in Niagara, highlighting the need for safe and affordable housing policies. We participated in the overall visualization of their policy research, and designed a brochure, information cards, and motion graphics that visualized the policy's potential impact.
Project “IMHERE” began with a question: why are homeless women invisible in our collective awareness? Research uncovered a vicious cycle: they hide from violence, only to be overlooked and neglected. Installing series of interactive designs in community, “IMHERE” offers a inclusive definition of “home” and support to those
who have been marginalized and lost their sense of belonging.
